Ha sido un buen dia en el seminario. La discusión de la mañana ha sido la más interesante. Esta estuvo basada en los videos programados en You Tube del profesor de antropología M.Wesch. Su trabajo investigativo y su visión sobre la enseñanza en las universidades ha dado la oportunidad de reflexionar como los/as profesores debemos evolucionar junto con nuestros estudiantes en torno a las tecnologías emergentes. El cuestionamiento principal del dia desde mi perspectiva es: Como debemos preparar a nuestros estudiantes para utilizar la tecnología a la que están acostumbrados para usarlas como herramientas de aprendizaje y enseñanza? Como les ayudamos a dar el salto de la socialización cibernética a la socialización-aprendizaje en el espacio virtual?

A Vision of Students Today
Has been a good day at seminar. The morning discussion was interesting. We watched Dr. M. Wesh, You Tube video. It was based on his research and vision about the teaching and how students engage on the use of technology. My personal thought runs about How we can prepare our students to use technology as a learning and teaching tool? How we can help them to swith from just socialize on internet to socialize and learn at the same time on ciberspace?

Yari, I'm glad that we sat next to each other this morning! I really like the way that you set up your blog, and I like how you post in both Spanish and English. At least 10% of the students in every one of my classes speaks English as a second language, and I think they might find it freeing to post in both languages. I also like your lists -- I will have to spend some time checking them out!
